no oxford language guides after firmware update NUVI 14xx: solution
I upgraded the firmware on my nuvi 1440T (FW version 4.50) and Oxford linguage guide are no longer working ...... (before upgrading the firmware was perfect)
someone who has run the same update has had the same problem?

Same problem here! Using nüvi 1350. It says: Language guide is not installed.

Instead nothig to do for me!
If I put folder LEX_PKG (with his gmapsupp.unl) in my SD-HC 8GB the Nüvi 1350 don't see anything, and if I put folder LEX_PKG under .System folder Nüvi 1350 told me that Garmin Language Guide is locked!!
Anyway with:
ID Nüvi 1350 as 3623822780 with 4.50 firmware
MapId=900
PID=2
RgnID=0
VenID=0
I have unlock code xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
What's wrong?

Open rar click exstract all (folder.System and folder Garmin) to SD,open keygen generate unlock code.
Go to SD card folder garmin open gmapsupp.unl paste unlock code,save.Run nuvi and garmin language guide work 100%

lol - should be : unrar the file, copy it in your sd, use your unit id to create an unlock file to add in your sd , in Jetmouse keygen window choose custom mapset-advanced users, fill it with 900 - 2 - 0 - 0.exstract all files to youre sd card use unit id 10 no and map custom enter 900 2 0 0 the no you get from keygen copy to gmapsupp.unl ps to open gmapsupp.unl.txt notepad save remove txt
it does work on my 1490t
Create the gmapsupp.unl with notepad, write your created code inside, save as "all files"
It wont be the Queen's English ,but may be clearer

Hi, same problems are now with the new nuvi 1695 and it`s firmware 2.40. Language guide is not recognized on the sd-card, so no installation. The procedure mentioned above is correct and worked fine on 1490 TPro until firmware 4.5. In a forum it is mentioned that there might be a problem in programming by Garmin and they are looking for a solution (soon ?) but it also might be a kind of "solution" by Garmin :-)
