How to patch unlock garmin img.
no need to generate *.unl file, this is nice if you have multiple units.
put your gmapsupp.img in c:
unrar the 3 files in c:
now you should have those 4 files at c:
gmapsupp.img
garmin_unlock_script.bat
GarminUnlocker.exe
gmt.exe
double click garmin_unlock_script.bat and wait.
a couple of minutes into the script you have to press enter for the script to continue.
download the files at:

the script looks like this, very easy to edit for your own likings:

gmt.exe -s -o c:\s\ c:\gmapsupp.img
del /q c:\s\*.mps c:\s\*.unl
GarminUnlocker.exe imgset c:\s\
gmt.exe -j -o c:\gmapsupp.img -m "Garmin Unlocked" -f 555,1 c:\s\*.*
del /q c:\s\*.*

Hello all
I have just used it today with a GARMIN GPSMAP 421 and blue chart G2 vision map.
Just a warning was displayed about marina file map but the result works fine on the 421!
Now have also found "Fast IMG unlocker.exe" on the forum, I have not tested, this one should also works.

Hope this works...
Tell me if I do something wrong.
1. Downloaded Garmin Bluechart G2 Vision VEU708L North Nrway
2. Copyed it to C:
3. Unrared garmin_unlock_script to c:
4. run the bat file... (like alautre it displayed the warning on the marine map)
5. copyed it to a sd card..... no other files than GMAPSUPP.IMG on card.
Will this work when I install the SD card in my 421S ???
can't try it until next weekend.

I've done this for GARMIN ASTRO and when I've start the unit it said: cant unlock maps!

These unlockers don't seem to work with GB Discoverer Full. One file is a Gig in size and the programs seem hang. So far I've not found a solution that I can make any sense of... There are rumblings I saw in a thread somewhere about a bug that is now fixed in Jetmouse V1.5, but I haven't figgured out how to use it with my map. All ideas and pointers welcome cos I'm pulling my hair out with this bloody Garmin product and feel it's more of a £400 paper weight at the mo!
