your phone doesn't run on Symbian UIQ and neither on any other mobile OS, leveraging on a Java platform, so I think you must look at java apps like google maps or similar, usually they require an internet connection
Hi all. I am a newbie to the world of non WM based software. I am trying to find out what Sat Nav software is available for my Sony Ericsson G705 mobile phone which does not require an online connection to work.
The problem is that despite the fact that this phone supports both WI-Fi and 3G connections, the only software I have been able to find only functions with a 3G Internet connection, so unless I purchase a 3G SIM card or 3G modem (which I am seriously contemplating), and pay for a contract I cannot make use of the GPS.
So what I would like to know is whether there is a Symbian based equivalent of such software as iGo, Copilot, Tom Tom, Mobile Navegator 7 etc., which would allow me to store maps on the memory card - and where to download the software from?
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help or offer advice....
David
