TOPO Germany 2010 (v4) - IMG+ Mapsource( original version)

i downloaded the whole germany 2010 v4 map (first link of this thread) now i got 2,99gb of a lot of small *.img-files an d one basemap-file. how do i get these files working on my 10.5.8-mac?

i am a noob in such things. :-(

The first link of this thread is an IMG unlocked, just one file: an IMG file
second post is an exe, the mapsource installation
Can you explain more please what did you get ?

i downladed via jdownloader. i unrared the files and got a folder named "FAMILY_2215" which is full of *.img-files like 02790015.img. he folder contains a file named basemap.img, too.

what should i do now? i use basecamp 2.1.2. i have installed topo germany v3 but the map does not show trails. all other information are available... strange. i hope topo germany v4 will show all the small trails...

the file you downloaded is from the second post and it is a mapsource installation for windows-
you extracted the exe your mac cant recognize-
You should have installed wine
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Install Germany topo v.4 with it, run on it mapconverter (always with wine) mapconverter will show the map installed for mapsource, you set checkbox next to your map and it convert it and so you can copy gmap folder to your mac drive-

this mapconverter will run under wine

thank your help. but i use a powerbook g4 with a powerpc-cpu. so i am not able to install wine. wine requires an intel cpu.

The missing streetnames in MapSource can be solved.
Just download the example TopoFile 2010 of garmin.com and extract that *.typ file.
You may alos get the extracted file in other forums for download.

There's a file inside named FAMILY_2215.reg; double-click this one and the whole map will be registered.
If you use an other drive as C: for the map-folder you have to modify the paths inside this file before.
The smarter way is to use the MapSetToolkit for the installation, you will find it at:
