Attached batch can configure Mapsource to create gmapsupp.img in a directory on your HDD.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
To use it, create directory for maps on your HDD, unpack all files form vgps.zip to this directory and run vgps-install.bat. After successfully execution you should find option HDD in Mapsource:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
When sending to device HDD, Mapsource will write gmapsupp.img to your directory.
When sending waypoints, routes and tracks, they will be written into file current.gpx in your directory.
Vgps use junction.exe from Sysinternals. On a first run you will see license for junction.exe.
Vgps needs NTFS on your system drive, it won't work on FAT drive.
HDD device works correctly on Windows Vista/7/XP with Mapsource 6.13 and 6.16.
If you'd like to remove vgps configuration run vgps-unistall.bat.
After running you can delete files, they are no more needed.
