right click on old mapsource icon on your desk- properties and you will have the path of the file to replace
I've downloaded the "Mapsource v6.16.1 Special patched" and was going to replace the installed Mapsource.exe file in my Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit version machine but I cant seem to find the installed Mapsource.exe anywhere. I looked in the control panel and even took out the location and source tabs in the explorer - it shows nothing in the location tab while the source tab shows "C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS&D6C.tmp\"
Any help appreciated! TIA

I'm currently using Garmin XT (don't know which version) & I've just downloaded the East Malaysia topo map from the 'West Malaysia+East Malaysia (includes Brunei)Topographic Garmin GPS Map' thread. How do I use/install it? Any instructions? I'm new to this thing anyway

Thanks. But it seems that I can't use it as 'gmapsupp2.img'. I have to rename it as 'gmapsupp.img'.
EDIT: Opps, it's gmapsup2.img, not gmapsupp2.img Anyway it still doesn't work for me. But it works when I rename it as gmapprom.img
EDIT 2: Ah jeez, now I can't use the find address function. I have to restore the original gmapprom.img file. My final solution is to 'join' the topo map img file with the gmapsupp.img file using the GMapTool. This time it really works. Thanks for the tool
