sure it will-if it's the second map rename it before copying it- probably gmapprom1.img will work

Last time I did an update I just renamed the downloaded map to the same as my map is named that is already on my GPS, then I deleted the one that was already on the GPS and transferred the new one over. Is that what I need to do this time or something else? I do not have enough free room on my GPS to keep both maps.

the mega link for the USA unlocked map works-- retry.
yes the procedure is correct -- rename it the same way --please backup the old map on your pc before updating it-

Nuvi 255W
In my nuvi 255w, I tried several renames for the sd card in order to have 2 o more maps, but only gmapsupp works.
Not the case of the internal memory, that accepts gmapsupp, gmapprom, gmapprom1, etc.Last edited by cacaiste; 15th April 2010 at 08:37 PM.
