new IMG is the same format than here, you can download it,unrar .name it gmapsupp.img and substitute your old gmapsupp.img in your garmin device, that's all !
backup your old map before please

thanks catymag for your prompt response and info.
i'll like to ask one last question if i may...i have downloaded all the files part 01 up till 14. what is the next step? do i extract every part out one by one and put in on top of the other? (example i extract 01 and place it to desktop, this in return will give me the img file. next i will extract part 02 and place it the same location and let it overwrite the img file? wouldn't it be the same if i were just extract the last file part 14?)please advise.

put all the files in one folder and unrar just part one, it will extract the complete IMG in your folder

From the menu: Utilities/Manage map products->unlock regions->add->then enter id from Jet Mouse KG in first field and name of the map in second field.
