You can put all the unl codes in one .unl file :000a4:
NO gaps or . , etc just put one code in then the next straight after it
One gmapsupp.unl is enough :idea5:

I use EZGmap to merge the img files into one, I have 10 merged on one sd card at the moment. Found each map id with Gmap Tool and generated unlock codes with Garmin Kgen and put them all into one unl file. Also have Europe travel guide working and put the unlock code into the same unl file. All files add up to 1.6mg and are working fine. Thanks everone for all the info that I managed to find.
Cheers

I don't think gmapsup2 works in the nuvi 2xx models, nor does the garmin/app folder idea. But you can use gmapprom1.img and gmapoem.mg in the garmin folder, with the slight annoyance that you can't deselect gmapoem.img via [Wrench icon]/Settings/Map(on second screen)/Map Info So you can have gmapbmap.img, gmapoem.img, gmapprom.img, gmapprom1.img, and gmapsupp.img in the garmin folder of a nuvi 2xx, and also a different gmapsupp.img in the garmin folder of an SD card (and then you can swap in and out as many SD cards as you like).
I tried this method in my sdcard but with no success. I understand that you could only do this with the device internal memory but I was hoping to have two selectable maps in sdcard (gmapsupp.img and gmapsup2.img perhaps?). Any help is much appreciated.rename map4.img to gmapsup2.img and place in Garmin folder. Repeat the process to unlock the map, and name gmapsup2.unl
By the way, I'm using a China made PND.. so it not possible to install software/maps in the device internal memory because of insufficient space.
Thanks!
how do u do the same process for my garmin E Trex Legend..Try this and dont work
with an eTrex you have to put all maps inside one "gmapsupp.img"
You can do this using Mkgmap. Download and instructions here:
