hello, is there a way to have "qwerty" keyboard for Garmin Mobile XT (for use with China made PND) instead of the usual "ABC" keyboard?

Somtime I download maps and it come in .img format. How do I install these maps on my Garmin E Trax Legend CX. Thanks.

First of all...thanks for the Garmin XT Symbian install guide...it is perfect...works like a charm!!! I have used it many times, but when it came to my Phone Nokia N82...ooopss!! I encountered some problems. After installing Garmin XT v5.00.50, basemap and support files I can launch the application and i can get the Card ID. I exit the application, generate the sw.unl with the previously obtained card id and after that I copy it to the garmin folder on the card. When trying to restart the application it just flashes the screen (i dont get the garmin splash screen) and wont start again. (not even after restarting the phone). The whole Garmin XT is blocked or gets blocked when initializing. What am I doing wrong? The thing is I have installed Garmin XT numerous times using your tutorials without any problems. Ha! I did it! Told you I'm new at this... An advice: when you plug in the phone, don't do it to USB HUB! Plug it directly to USB! That was my problem! Thanks to all!

if maps are unlocked put them directly in your device ,if not unlock them with jetmouse keygen, renominate them like the map you have now in your device

these are the names of the maps stored in a nuvi
1) gmapprom.img - Preloaded Map
2) gmapprom1.img - Preloaded 2 Map (If there is)
3) gmapsupp.img - Secondary Map
4) gmapoem.img - OEM Supp map (Unable to tick or untick it)
5) gmapsup2.img - Secondary 2 Map (Older Model?)
6) gmaptz.img - Time Zone Map
7) gmap3d.img - 3D Image Map (7x5 Series)
8) gmapbmap.img - garmin Base map

Storage Card :
1) gmapsupp.img - Secondary Map
2)gmap3d1.img - as second 3D Buildings Map (7x5 series )

hi catymag, i appreciate all your help. please pardon me for being incomplete with my query. i was actually looking for a "qwerty" keyboard for garmin mobile xt win ce 6.0 (i'm currently using garmin mobile xt v5.00.30 ASN ver), is there a "patch" for this?

Hi, My map Source program has topped working, coming up with the following : "There is a problem with the Product 431 Installation Please reinstall product 431 and start map source again"

I have tried to reinstall map source from my City Navigator CD and from the new update from Garmin, all to no avail.
Can somebody give me an idea as to what has happened.
I run on Vista :confused32bit
