    okay, loaded it on my nokia e71 and the postcode search works :p but dont forget to put the file into:
    E:/Garmin

    Here are some POI that i have collected off poiplaza.com with:
    Fix Speedcams
    Mobile Speedcam
    Red Light/Speedcams
    CCTV Cameras
    Section Cameras
    Petrol Station

    Just put the POI into:

    E:\Garmin\POI

    I did as instructed downloaded the file and changed the name to GMAPPROM.IMG - copyed it to my 2GB card. So how do i check on my garmin edge that the file is working?

    go to your device setting and look for my maps, if it is there it's ok

    Yes, ' where to > addresses > country > spell city/postal code' then just type in the postal code, house number, etc. :-)

    When i press 'Where To' it only shows these options:

    Follow History
    Saved Rides
    Back To Start
    Find Places

    I don't see Address. did i miss somethings??
