    Default offline maps

    google maps is cool simple basic navigation software, but is there any way we can make maps available off line. i am at a location where we do not have nokia maps or gamrin. But google has covered the area, but it would be great if can take the maps offline without the need of GPRS/edge/3g.
    I have found the some ways like the trekbuddy which can be used like that but then it is not as good as google maps, any ideas??

    in india,especially on non-metro cities,we do lack wi-fi hotspots and the gprs/edge data transfer is very high.nokia maps will be best for you at this point of time as google maps does require data transfer to show destinations as per your request.and unfortunately,nokia maps will give you maps of metro cities only.so just wait and watch buddy.
