Here is a .IMG map for Garmin with UK Excluding Northern Ireland Map with Postcodes - i.e - England, Scotland & Wales.
101MB RAR, 147MB Extracted .IMG
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Download and copy to "E:\Garmin" ("MMC:\Garmin"). Should work straight away, if not, use Jetmouses' gen with your card ID and map ID 378 to get an unlock code.

Great, though it might not have worked as it was unlocked using my Card ID, seems not - rep+ mate
We have a confirmation saying its working so all good for anyone else pondering

Yay. Got Garmin XT 5 on my phone now and these maps do the job in the UK. Needed to use code 378 not 278 on my E71.
Also if anyone is having trouble with GPS locking issues (on all apps) try changing your positioning server to supl.nokia.com

thanks. do we leave the old map or we should remove it? how do we find out the map version that garmin is using on our phone?

Goto manage map sets in setting. This is from the 2009 version so they are the latest therefore the others can be deleted
