Sorry, I am new to this. The attached file format is ".rar", but garmin map files are ".img". Can you advice how to unload this onto my Garmin Nuvi? Thanks a million.

rar is a compressed file like zip , you must unrar and install IMG in garmin folder of your device
you find winrar here

winrar is the best compression app for windows and for other os too

One more question. On my Garmin, there is an existing sub-Folder named POI with mainly files of GPI format. Files of IMG formats are directly under the Garmin folder. Then there is another sub-folder named EXTdata with mainly files of BIN format. So which folder should i upload this 176.POIICon113 file into? Also, I hear that there is a danger of overwriting on existing files. Anyway, I note that there are appropriate Update & Override modes to select in the WINRAR software.
