If you install the maps than you don't have this problem.!!

Maybe this works, sorry haven't tried it myself yet...

Make read-only some of the files, notably the navkeys.dat on the phone memory (c:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\res\) and maybe these ones, all located on the card in e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\
hk.flg
imei.dat
inbox.dat
phone.dat

The credit for this trick should go to ererte of another forum

My map say Expire today 2/29/2008 As of now it's still working. Will give definite answer tomorrow.

A few other peoples whos trial already expired report this method to work.
Note you must do this before the trial period is over.

You don't need keys

make the folowing files READ ONLY

c:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\res\navkeys.dat
e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\hk.flg
e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\imei.dat
e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\inbox.dat
e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\phone.dat
e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\maps\what ever map you are using

You must do this BEFORE your 15 days trail is over.

I can confirm this to be working as my trail is over but my map is still unlock and working normal.
