Firmware GPSMAP 235 Sounder - bricked after internal NVRAM battery change

    Dear All,
Does anyone have a clue how to make the GPS work again?

I know it is a very old device but still worked before the battery died. It is completely bricked, just generates some sound after powering on and that is it.

Any help in further steps are very much welcome.

PS. Garmin used to charge 150 USD for such a battery change, but for years this model is out of support and can not find any hint on how Garmin used to make it work in the past. There is CF Card reader in the device , maybe this can be used for the firmware upload?

Like on, for example, 'ENC' devices, before removing old battery, you have to temporary connect external power supply (with same voltage as battery, and be careful with polarity).
After battery is replaced, just remove external power.
That could prevent problems at any internal battery change on any device, unless internal battery was 'totally dead'.

Sorry, I don't know how to help restore lost content, but hope someone else could.
