Question Refresh my memory as to mixing different releases/years for map files.

Hi there. The newest USA/Canada maps are finally here, but only fbl and poi. Just in time because I am going on a road trip in 5 days. But I can't recall if it was safe to mix 2022 files and 2023 files(for example)

    2023 fbl
    2022 fda,fjw,fpa,fsp etc.

    And also 2022 buildings.

I have this feeling the software crashed or it just didn't work.

I am using Primo mainly, but I also test Nextgen as well.

EDIT:Tested it on Nextgen and so far I can browse, but I haven't driven with it yet.

All files in folder 'map' (*.fda, *.fjw/fjv, *.fpa, *.fsp, *.ftr and *.hnr) are linked to (depending on) active *.fbl files.
So, for every country they must be same provider and same release. You can mix different providers for different countries, but than you can not use *.hnr files.
Files in other folders (building, dem, poi, speedcam) can be different releases and from different providers.
