    Default iOverlander 25.30 WW POI

    Hello all,
    Hope you are doing well.
Just found in another forum the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
On the instructions it should be put on the POI folder or MAP folder of internal memory or SD Card.
Apparently it is working for a lot of users, but on my side, on a NUVI 3597 (sw5.50) it is only partialy working.
I got the icon of iOverlander, I click on it, I see the categories of POI, but when I click on a category nothing happens.
Anyone has a clue on how to solve? I've tried POI folder, map folder, internal memory, sd, both! Nothing worked

I just tried it in an EU version 3597 V5.50 here in Australia and it does work in this one.
I added it to the device top level POI folder, and can see the icon and drill down through all categories and into all the individual POI details. That said the POI's are very sparse in my local area, many on the shortlist are tens to hundreds of KM from where I am.
It could be there are simply none to show in your country?

Thanks for testing for me .
I am in Portugal. When you say "device top level POI folder" it's the device memory, in the POI folder correct? Did you rename it or something?
It's a small country, even hunders of kms away would be spain which I think would have POIs. On the Phone app there are plenty, so I believe it would show on the garmin also.

Yes, I simply copied into here in the existing device POI folder without any renaming or anything else needed:

According to their website there are 865 POI across Portugal. And I can confirm the website POI's do match the ones I can see here in the device so you should be able to see them.

However don't fret if you can't get it working, from my observations here the quality of the POI data is not high. It's a good find but looking at the text comments they are clearly random crowd sourced locations that may not reflect what need on the ground wherever you may happen to be.

Thank you a lot for your precious feedback.
I've tried everything, from hard resets, to placing the file in different folders, changing names, changing gps langage, nothing works.
Just strange it works on your unit and not in mine, being the same (at least I think this is an EU version, since I bought it in France).
    Have a great day
