IGO_Pal 9.18.27.719974 Keyboard problem

Hi,
I am extreme novice in IGO set up and file modifications but I just bought a new Head Unit with Android 11 and the above IGO installed.

I have 2 problems, one big and one small
The big one is that I cannot select a Danish keyboard in the drop up menu when I need to key in a new address. Very annoying.
See attached photo. Danish should be betweeen Deutsch and Francais. So I am missing the unique danish letters æ,ø,å
As seen on the photo there is no problem displaying these letters and I have also Danish guides and voice.
Maybe some pointer missing in a menu ini file or something - but wich one?
I have looked in content/lang/Lang_Danish and there is a file called Keyboard but it is not called for in the menu.
Any help is highly appreciated

The minor problem is that I would like to change resolution as letters are too small for my old eyes when driving.

Hello again

You have been present at the Forum for a year, so you shouldn't be such a novice.
But, as I can see, you didn't follow my advice (read a lot, browse Forum)

Not a software problem.
Displaying data from the map (proper characters) is one thing, and the typing keyboard is another. iGO only reproduces what is given to it.
You have a problem with an inadequate language file. Find a better one, probably one of your fellow citizens will respond.
You could correct them yourself, if you had read

As for the resolution, it is it is per installation adapted for your device.
It may be inadequate if you used the sys file of another device.
If you want a larger view, density is responsible for that, it has been written about many times. Use search
(hint - base_dpi)

I just hope I can get the file name of the keyboard menu from someone and/or a new file that works.

I can live with the resolution as is.

I have to find the right keyboard file because there are a lot of them in different folders and they are all different. One of them even have the Danish keyboard:

iGO_Pal/content/lang -> there is a keyboard file in every language folder but they are all empty files
iGo_Pal/data/config -> there is a keyboard file without danish
iGo_Pal/data/ui_nextgen/common -> there is a keyboard file with danish and a lot other languages

My guess is that the file that iGO is using is in folder iGo_Pal/data/config

So in order not to disturb the drop up menu I can copy the danish part from ui_nextgen/common and overwrite one of the keyboards in the data/config that I know I will not be using.

Am I way off?

If you don't use any skin, then
data.zip\ui_nextgen\common\ » primarily
data.zip\config\
(Hierarchy
apk < data.zip < the_skin_by...)
You can adapt them to your needs, throw out the ones you don't need, etc ...

This can also be done within the lang file

First of all many thanks for the guidance and for pointing in the right direction.
My set up now works with DK Keyboard.
But I must have messed up something as iGO now doesn't remember the settings after I exit the program.
Every time I start navigation I have to set up language etc

Again, you did not carefully read and follow the basic instructions ...

Internal memory only
Assign all permissions

Thanks for the info but I only use the internal memory and iGO_Pal has all permissions in the Android set up - if thats what you mean.
Otherwise I am a bit lost.

I cannot find any set up regarding memory and permissions in iGO itself
I have the following folders and files in the iGO_Pal folder:
config
content
license
privdocs
ui_nextgen
ux
branding
data
iGO719WD (APK file)
save (file)

Same problem with or without sys file
