@ roger
You wrote "what's the point" and I gave my explanation why would someone need creating gma. Well, never mind.
P.P.: We wrote together with Kunix.
You can just paste "81D8B8..." into your favorite hex editor, as "81D8B8..." is a valid binary form, i.e. 81 is the 1st byte, D8 is the next byte and so on.
As far as I've seen in the firmware, GMA contains old-good 25-character unlock codes. But I don't know all the details. I've seen that GMA parser uses AES for something. I really don't know what for.
We're looking for a way to forge GMA files. Or sign patched GCD files, which would much more useful for me.
Well, as far as I know unlocked maps are not as good as the originals (some minor functionality is lost, I just don't remember which one exactly).

@ Kunix and ddabcd
In fact, I repeat: what's the point? Until you get there, as recalled Kunix and you, to create or circumvent the GMA completely, we have this.
In any case, it is certain that those who know how to get around the limitation GMA bring it to the attention of all. And perhaps rightly so
And to all those who ask how to create a GMA answer: what's the point? Simply use the tools we have now. We can not do anything else. That's it
For now.....
Ok,ok...np
Bye,bye
Not true,in any case, nowadays we have good tools
That's the point ! We're always looking for challenges lol , it's like trying to solve puzzles, sometimes useless, sometimes it makes sense. We're looking for a way to forge GMA files. Or sign patched GCD files, which would much more useful for me.
You have to navigate to get to the good.

Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
Having similar issues as poster above with TopoActive Europe 2021.10 SouthWest I purchased from garmin... want to use it on my Fenix 5x as well as my oregon 650... Any advice??
@lohtse,
Number one if you have a purchased version of TopoActive Europe 2021.10 you do not need to unlock it with gimgunlock-up-v-0-04 or any other unlocker.
If there are problems with installing it to the Fenix 5x or the Oregon 650 then contact Garmin support for help.
You use Garmin Express to do the download and install.

It is locked to one device as are all maps purchased from garmin......
"Each map update can only be used on one Garmin GPS device. Garmin Express can use the same files to update multiple devices but updates must be purchased separately for each unit." Thats what Garmin states.
I would like to use on both.... And thats why I post my question here.

You own a:
749,99€ fēnix® 5X Plus and a 449,00€ Oregon® 650 and can not shell out another 49,99€ TopoActive Europa for other unit you have.
Give me a break how cheap can one be putting out some where in the area of 1200,00 Euros for both Fenix 5 and the Oregon® 650 and can not spend another 50,00 on another version of TopoActive Europa.

Actually I paid £55 for the Oregon 650 and £ 75 for the Fenix 5x (they are cheap on the CEX website)
And I tried the unlocker(if we are referring to gimgunlock, I used v 0.04) and it still says it is locked on the fenix
