i have same configuration (Gift + pongo) on two devices samsung tab 5.1.1 phone 6.0.1 all content on SD (mod) with latest pongo
(20.03.2018) and works well...
also I tried your files (vr.zip +free_text_vr.zip) and they not work...
try with them or from last pongo (20.03.2018)...

You are right, mate.
I usually notice such a things, but now I have totally overlooked that he have Oreo on his phone.
The same goes for the TTS.

@Boki_Srb I want to thank you for the test file you sent me. I TESTED in android nougat(galaxy tab s3) and android oreo(Huawei mate 10) and it did not work.But then TESTED in android 6(xiaomi phone) and it worked fine.So for some reason the app does not activate the microphone in nougat and Oreo.

Different engine, different drivers...who knows. We will have to wait for a new edition of ux files.

It should function on Nougat, but.... TAB S3 is known as weird (some even say problematic) device, the problem can be up to its software.

Hi modemakias. Thank you for the files. I have tested on Galaxy S7 and can confirm that these files work. Only one problem. When adres with voice comand is selected next screen appears. In that screen I have to comand in Dutch VERTREK (GO), TERUG (Back) or ROUTEPUNT TOEVOEGEN (Add waypoint). In this screen Voice comand TERUG works. When I say VERTREK voice is not recognized. But when I say "GA" voice comand is recognized and text VERTREK appears in Screen and navigation of route starts. Comand "ROUTEPUNT TOEVOEGEN" does not work. I tried other comands, but cannot find correct comand for it.

But you allready helped me a lot, because Dutch VR is working now. Maybe you can help me with the last mentioned problems? Thank you very much modemakias.

I have found the problem myself. It is translation in "0413_freetextlua" I am going to change it and wil attach all working DUTC files after everything is finished. And I wil make a tutorial how to get VR to work. Thanks to Modemakias.

Yes... i think you need to start from here...
I check your "VR_in_language" compared with "commands.lua" from "0413 freetext lua.vfb"
and has many difference...

see in the middle of the text, the translation from

["VRTEXT_home"] = { L"дом" } ,
["VRTEXT_work"] = { L"работа" } ,.... was forgotten in Russian

correct it and pack again with Tcommander... if you have problem tell me...

I know. I was already starting with editing. I have finished rework. But when I try to build lua program gives weird error. I have to go to work now. Can I send the corrected and added text to you later this evening, so you can check what is wrong?

How you can edit and fix the translation in your VR files.

create a folder on your desktop and put "0413_freetextlua.vfb" file, and then extract it with 7zip...
the extracted files (commands handler.lua, content.nng, info.ini, signature.nng) are the same for all languages and not need any change...

open with notepad++ the file "commands.lua" ... the encoding of the text is "UTF-8 with BOM" as you can see at the first line...
this is recognized automatically by notepad++ and writes in the same way...

make all your changes about the correct translation and then save...

now the size of the file has been changed...
this file probably is locked by size (28.898 byte) or something like that...

example: if you change the size only (1 byte) more or less the file doesn't work... (does not recognize the commands).
also is not luck that's all files from different languages, with different records data has the same exact size...

to correct the size to (28.898 byte) add or remove some empty character (space) on the bottom of text...
see how looks if press (ctrl+a) on your keyboard... (img1/3)

Here attention: notepad++ does not show you the right size of the text, but show you (3 byte) less...
(probably from three empty lines that has the text)
example: for right size (28.898 byte) notepad++ show you (28.895 byte) ... better check it with Tcommander... (img1/1-2)

now open Tcommander and go to your work folder ... in right window open the original file "0413_freetextlua.vfb"
from the left window select the files: (commands_handler.lua, content.nng, info.ini, signature.nng)
and drag and drop in to the right window.

TC will ask you about the pack files select "configure" on the next screen "Zip packer" select compression 0 (none) and then apply...
Next about overwrite select yes...

you can skip this step because these files have not been changed...
do the same with "commands.lua" and about the compression ... select 6 (normal)

that's all.....close all programs and your are ready.....
