    1. There is no difference between the .gpi files used for NT and NTU maps [your 1390 should use only NT maps however for optimum performance]. Corrupt POI files are a common cause of erratic behaviour and even are a cause of units 'bricking'. Remove whatever .gpi files you have on it and re-download if you need them. kenta2's cyclops files are safe: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
    2. Please check: Tools > Settings > Map > Trip Log. If set to 'Show' then set it to 'Hide'.

    Connect you Nuvi to PC and check free space on it! If free space is less then 20 Mb you must go to GPX folder in root and check files there. You may delete all files from this folder with one exclusion of current.gpx. If after that free space is less then 40 Mb you need manage maps to SD for increasing free space in device!
    Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
