Just wanted to share my experience with this map on the chance that it might help someone who is as frustrated as I was.

I downloaded the map using mapsource onto my Garmin Nuvi 1100, and the map displayed fine but I couldn't search for street addresses even after I made sure I activated only this map and de-activated all my other maps.

After much experimentation and a very fortunate brainwave, I discovered that searching for street addresses requires that I leave a space after every letter. So, for example, instead of searching for the street "CUA DAI", I had to search for "C U A D A I".

Even their website is offering V5 (Aug 2009) as the latest. Catymag has good connections, I think :

This 'MapSource' release is simply the old-style install.bat PC installation. Follow the instructions in Post#1 to install it. It will be then visible in BaseCamp and you can use MapInstall to send an image to a unit, usb stick or media card. Change the Ms Flag to '0' with GMAPTool or ImgTool and that image will then also be visible in BaseCamp.

After instalation map doesn«t show in Basecamp (I don't use Mapsource anymore). I tried to change the Ms Flag to '0' with GMAPTool but can't get it done.
Which img file should I choose from the directory to chanage the flag and where is that option in GMAPTool?

    Thanks.

You can't change the Ms Flag until you've actually compiled a *.img file using either MapSource or MapInstall. Don't mess around with any other IMG files in the PC installed map data. Once the installation is completed you can make [compile] a *.img file and then change it's MS Flag with either GMapTool or ImgTool. Please read the first few posts of this thread carefully, if you have 64 bit OS you may need to modify the install file as suggested in Post #4.

For those who struggle to follow the instructions in this thread properly, here's a Zippyshare link for the "plug & play" gmapsupp.img version of the map, created with MapInstall and with MS flag changed to '0'.
