Nope. 1.4 and GO Traffic uses maps of different format - not interchangeable...

Can somebody tell me why this version won't install on sd card?

I installed on my WayteQ Device (not cellphone) but the installed the maps on the internal memory instead of installing on the external SD card.

    Thx

Usually it installs mas in location, where more free room. Perhaps your SD card has less free room than internal - so that's the issue. If so - replace SD with more room - the you'll can transfer content from new SD to old SD.

Another thing, just make your internal memory full by copy some files to them before installation, TomTom will move the map to SD card automatically then delete out all files you copy to internal memory.

Followed the instructions and carried out the installation several times. Every time the error message is "can't connect to TomTom. Try again later."
Could not install directly from gplay since my device is not supported (downloaded the apk file for installation).
For the life of me, I cannot find the .metadata.xml file after installation/or first run.
Have downloaded the map file but don't know where it should go.
    Any help is much appreciated.

Your TomTom installation and maps are here: Android/Data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp

If you have problems, then remove your SD card, and try all over again.

If you can't download and run the app whilst signed into the Play Store you will not get your license and will never get the app working.

It's another one of those Apps where they assume everyone is connected to the Internet. If you follow the instructions it does work. Download if from Google Play and open it. Don't download any maps. Close App and delete APK using the Delete option in System. Use your downloaded APK and away you go.

Its not the best App I have used and is missing the most important part .. SPEED CAMERAS .. Yes you can add them as POI's but they don't do anything apart from let you search for them. This means that you then need to add a Third Party Speed Camera App or buy the Tom Tom one and pay a subscription. I also tried without luck to add new voices. Seems like it's something else to pay for as I tried to downloading some different ones and changing file names but it did nothing. POI's are a bit of a mess and you need to add a User POI file to the system and then add a User BMP file. There are 4 different BMP files needed. XHDPI 96x96 Png .. HDPI 48x48 Png .. MDPI 36x36 Png .. LDPI 15x15 Png. I have now deleted it and using IGO MyWay and CoPilot Truck instead.

Wonder how long it will be before they say the software is out of date and no more map updates until you buy the new version.

    ..
