    O ye of little faith!

I can only re-quote Terry from post #11:

I used ImgBurn 2.5.6.0 and it started by complaining that the layer break it got from the MDS file was not on a correct boundary.
I manually set it to 1261456 as it suggested and then there were no other problems.
As with the previous map updates, the map data is about a year old and I see that the Tullamarine freeway still shows old entry and exit ramps
Because i don't have access to a C1 unit to test the finished operation I dunno for sure although have no reason to doubt what he's said about it working. You can try other programs, but ImgBurn's free to dl and works as good as Nero for me and you could probably use Alcohol 120, PowerDVD or any good burning sw. Certainly this full V20 C1 burns x8 to a DVD+R DL using ImgBurn V2.5.8.0 successfully after correcting the layer break as stated above to 1,261,456 from the ISO's 1,261,441 in 'User Specified' [found under Tools>Settings>Write>Option>Layer Break]. Now looking for a toyota victim to try it out .......

PS: Noticed you've edited. I'd also be prepared to burn it to a single layer DVD-R with LOADING.KWI removed when i have a way to test in a C1 unit. Thanks for the link to PowerISO in your edit.

    Hi All,
Prior to seeing this thread I actually downloaded the .iso Whereis v20 Toyota Australia NZ 2014 torrent file which is available atm with limited seeds, anyway after download I burnt the .iso onto a TDK DVD+R dual layer disc using CDBurnerXP (4x burning speed) which is a free software and I can confirm that it the V20 Maps WORKs on MY08 Toyota Aurion and MY13 Subaru Tribeca. This mean that the V20 torrent .iso file is the same disc that is labelled for Toyota's: Whereis v20 Toyota Map Update V20/9 DVD AU-NZ & Subaru's: Whereis v20 Subaru Map Update V20 C1 AU-NZ. Hope this helps.

This is interesting info. It means that with MY13 Subaru has now switched back to C1 units after moving to C2 previously around MY08. All early Subaru's used the C1 disc also but those old C1 units maybe cannot read DL discs. User reports on this are welcome.

EDIT: Only Tribeca models have a C1 unit like the early [>MY08?] Subaru. All recent Subaru except Tribeca use C2.

I have tried both C1 & C2 on my MY13 Subaru Tribeca, and only C1 version work for me! C2 DO NOT WORK! while on the other hand my mate has a MY13 Subaru Liberty and C2 version only for him not C1! Also currently dual layer V20 maps are working on my Subi!

I also gave a copy of the same V20 maps to my other friend to use on his Toyota Aurion and he confirmed that it worked for him!

    @Prazstar
Even more interesting! Thanks for the report. So then Subi is now fitting both C1 & C2 units. Tribeca has C1 and Liberty has C2 both MY13 you advised, and do you know what units other MY13 models have fitted e.g. Impreza/Forrester? Be interesting to see what's fitted to the MY14 range. Are you sure your mate's Liberty is MY13 not MY12?

Did you find a Subaru SL of V20 C1 or did you remove LOADING.KWI from the DL?

Also, do you have access to C2 V20 most importantly?

    PS: Welcome to GPSPower.

Hi Neil, thanks for the welcome

From what I know and found through researching and talking to people is that only the Tribeca take C1 maps while all other Subaru's take C2. Sorry my mistake I just confirmed with my mate and his Subaru Liberty is late MY12.

To be honest I accidently tried the V20 Toyota Maps that's I downloaded from the torrents to see if it works on my Tribeca and luckily enough it did! I did not remove any files from the DL! Prior to this I downloaded a Subaru V19 C2 and tried that with no luck (I knew it wasn't going to work but I tried it anyway) and I could not find a V19 C1 anywhere! which lead me to downloading the V20 and testing that! having said this I also tried the Toyota Denso V19 maps on my Subaru which did not work!

Considering my MY13 Subi came with V18 maps I reckon you MY14 subi will come with V19 maps possibly!!! it would be good to get V20 in your case

Sorry mate I cannot find V20 C2 anywhere when I do I will post It here!
