You mean reversing camera i guess. That's separate firmware to the GPS so i can't see that by changing the JN fw of the navi unit to AU fw it would have any effect on the other firmwares/software on the unit, e.g. radio, DVD player etc including back up camera. All assuming your unit is a Denso with an ejectable map data disc and a service menu described by uniqo for his 2006 Toyota Mark X Gen1. I can't help further though because i've no way to test, maybe our Auckland friend uniqo will post again if you need more help.

Thanks to all for the valuable information in this thread. Just burned two disks with Verbatim DVD-R SL at 3x with PowerISO after removing the NZ POI index files.

Works a treat in my 2008 RX350 and 2011 CT200H. The OS image on this ISO is the same as I had on the V17R8 (464210-1961) but newer than the V17R6 (464210-1780) in the CT.

Thanks everyone on here, saved me a couple of hundred bucks. This worked on my 06 Ford Falcon using a DVD+R DL.

G'day billgc, welcome to GPS Power.

If it's got a Denso unit which uses the map data from a DVD then yes, it'll work.

My car is Toyota Camry Hybrid 2012, and i just found out that it uses "Web license key type", so i guess there is no way of updating without bringing it into the dealer right?

G'day crucifier, welcome to GPS Power.

Does it use map data off a DVD? Or is it running off a media card, ssd or hdd?

thank you for your reply Neil, no it doesn't run off DVD, and it doesn't have memory card slot, however have USB slot but not plugged in, hence i assume it's HDD based??
