Car Whereis V19 Map DVD. C1 - Toyota, Lexus, early Subaru; C2 - later Subaru, Mitsubishi, Mazda

There is a V19 torrent now available and it's attached:

    Spoiler: Torrent

It checks out as genuine, although the map data is almost a year old (as usual).
It took 2 days to download, but this should get better as more seeders come online.

Here is the comparison with the V18 files.
The .KWI files have different sizes and later dates so it looks genuine to me.

Dunno where you will find a C2 version though. My friendly Toyota rep is no longer there, so I had to keep searching the internet until I found this.

IMPORTANT: Correct burning is essential. Keep your original disc. See info re burning and oem discs in Post #4.

    @mickfries
Burning correctly is crucial with these nav dvd discs. Use only a single layer DVD-R burnt at no more than 4x [pref. 2x] speed, 6x at maximum. I use ImgBurn [downloadable freeware], and Nero Express Portable also works fine if you have it. Sometimes even done at 2x on DVD-R, the new map disc is not recognised by the unit first try, eject it and try again before reburning. It maybe will be accepted on 2nd or 3rd insertion.

Additional Info: IMPORTANT - Do not discard or give away the original disc supplied with your vehicle when new. It contains essential software that is not included in later map update discs. Map updated discs such as this version may contain some small 'bug-fix' updates only. It seems that the sw on the OEM disc is written to volatile memory. If you have a complete power-down of the unit [such as during a car battery change] volatile memory is lost and must be re-written from the OEM disc, so store it safely. Warning note added to Post #1.

NOTE: Thanks to Siganid for advising that DVD+RW media will also work. Confirmed using Verbatim & imation DVD+RW media with both Mitsubishi & Subaru C2 units. Not yet confirmed with C1. See Posts 29-32.

Thanks alot, I'll give it a try and see how it goes

    Car:06 Lexus IS250
    Does it work: Yes

It does not work for me.

Tried twice using dvd-r verbatim on imgburn. (at 6x speed as it wouldn't let me do any slower).
First burn disc was labelled as new and I changed the second to 464210-2010 but no go.

Edit: I got it to work using another burner with the same settings.
Although I can't get the hybrid dvd working (using loading.kwi from v12) to use the nav hack, but thats a different story.

I know I'm new here, but I'd like to help if I can. I can probably get a copy of V19 from a friend at Toyota. Is there anyway for me to check the data against the d/l file?

    G'day Bishop6666, Welcome to Noeman.

If you have already dl'ed from the torrent and loads and works ok, it will probably only be academic to check against a genuine disc. A absolute foolproof way is to check the hashes of each corresponding individual file. A quick way is compare their sizes. Then there are file compare programs such as Terry used in the attachment at the base of post #1 to check each file of V19 against the ones of V18.
