    I have updated 2 years ago succesfully but I don't know now if it will still work, it's so confusing, so much information everywhere. Didn't anyone find some really simplet step-by-step guide where to download and how to install all the needed SW to be able to use some maps?

    I agree this thread is a bit messy & untidy. Maybe one of you Carminat/Renault experts around here could put a detailed set of instructions together or even possibly QUIN1965 clean up and simplify post #1??

    Default Linux Commands

    Hi Folks, My first post so be gentle!
    I am a linux (Ubuntu) user and tried to use the commands to mount the ext3_loopback listed in the tutorial above but it did not work, so i tried a few tweaks and got it to work like this;

    Create a file called vfs in the root folder;

    sudo mkdir /vfs

    Then copy your loopdir folder somewhere on your machine and use the following command to mount it (NB replace "/path/to file/" part of the command with the path to the location of the loopdir file, mine was in my home folder so was "sudo mount -t ext3 /home/mike/loopdir/ext3_loopback /vfs");

    sudo mount -t ext3 /path/to file/loopdir/ext3_loopback /vfs

    then just browse to the vfs file and open it, voila all the files are now listed.

    Hope this helps some one.

    Mike
