    I see this is a thread from 2010, I only noticed it yet.

    I have this configuration(ttnavigator.bif) :

    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    I tried application 7.910 (ttnavigator), this does not work. Until now the latest maps (890.4234) works fine. 895 also I think (version .4444), must give it a try.

    I don't think there is still some upgrading or finetuning available. But You never known.
    Someone have suggestions ?

    Since TT for CE is no longer being supported or developed all you can do is try.
    There are never and different versions available, you can find my collection for CE editions of TT [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
    Make sure to select the correct version for your screen resolution.
    The archive is double pcked, so you have to unpack first to get to the packed archives for the software.

    Thank You for your answer Downunder.
    But I tried already 7.9xx and 8.0xx versions with no luck (I have some different CE-versions a long time on my PC).
    I think the 7.451 version is the limit for my Dell/Windows CE combination. I am satisfied with it. I always come by my destination, even without Lane Assist and Speech etc.
    Just put a 895.4444 map on the sd-card. TTNavigator still works with this new edition. (and for backup I have always my Garmin-outdoor gps with the latest City Navigator).

    Hi,

    Fresh installation, because quite old versions
    from
    TTGO.BIF:
    DeviceName=TomTom GO 730
    DeviceVersionHW=GO 730
    BootLoaderVersion=55120
    ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8351
    ApplicationVersion=9982
    CurrentMap=Western_and_Central_Europe
    CurrentMapVersion=845.2645
    to
    TTGO.BIF:
    DeviceName=TomTom GO 730
    DeviceVersionHW=GO 730
    BootLoaderVersion=55120
    ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9465
    ApplicationVersion=1074274.1
    CurrentMap=Europe 2Gb 900.4602
    CurrentMapVersion=900.4602
    1. Backup your files
    2. Navcore upgrading through tt-home.
    3. Download and Copy new maps to sd card, with right meta.txt file.
    4. Download and Copy latest speedcams to sd card same folder where the map is.
    5. Activate navcore (with Fast Activate.exe).
    6. Activate map. Before activating copy ttgo.bif from your tt file folder to sd card root.
    7. Activate home.

    Not yet checked everything, works well.
    Simpele, easy. Many thanks. Great site. Good job!

    Seems that, new map has still same missing streets as old one.
    They sell new maps all the time.
    I wonder if the quality is in same level as in old good times.

    Default TomTom XXL Europe 2Gb, not enough memory for new map

    hello,

    I've looking around but can't finad any previous treat about One XXL with no external SD slot, so I only have only 2GB (in fact a lit less) memory. On this I would like to renew my maps but I always run into the "not enough memory trap". I've downloaded a Europe map 2GB (patched it ) and tried to install it but I lack memory. (Only 2GB on the system and no SD slot)

    So, is there a way to upgrade my maps (In fact if I have the Europe -North part of the Europe map, that would do already) on this system. Technical data:
    DeviceName=TomTom XXL IQ Routes Edition
    DeviceVersionHW=ONE XXL IQ Routes
    BootLoaderVersion=55279
    ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9465
    ApplicationVersion=1074274.2
    CurrentMap=Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB
    CurrentMapVersion=840.2562

    Should this be found elsewhere feel free to delete the question (and same time reply with the older treat to me . .

    Otherwise, I thank all who provide this useful info!

    this is info for tom tom one xl

    DeviceName=TomTom ONE XL
    DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL
    DeviceSerialNumber=
    DeviceUniqueID=
    RamDiskVersion=
    BootLoaderVersion=53026
    LinuxVersion=190943
    ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
    ApplicationVersion=9369
    UserLanguage=English UK

    The problem is that I want this map Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_900.4600, but the navi doesn't support SD cards bigger than 2GB
    I downloaded Europe_East_900_4602 less than 2GB, but the core doesn't support it
    There are 2 options:
    - to change the navcore to read 4602, however I might screw up the device
    - to change the bootloader to read SD cards bigger than 2 GB

    What should I do? I need exactly this parts of the map to make it work

    I would suggest you stick with your latest/official navcore (8.010) and just follow this carefully [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] unless you're feeling brave AND AFTER A FULL WINDOWS BACKUP you try an alternative/later navcore like [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] which will run any map version

    PS 4600 maps DO run on any navcore
