I tried both versions from this tread (message 2 and 3)

Both are not working on my navi.
Do I have to use another tread for this?

Just sit back and wait for sensible suggestions from people here, don't try to guess which to use without some help. Just because a navcore is newer or has a higher number does NOT make it better for your XL.
Question...why do you want to change your navcore?

I want to install new maps to the navi so I think I have to use another navore or am I wrong?
I have donwloaded a couple of navores from which I thought I need them but it isn't working.
The navi doesn't start up completely or I do have a half screen.
