Default Navcore v9.541 SE for One/XL 32MB by Tonyzeta

As some of you will be aware, TomTom released a maintenance version of their navcore for some old devices in preparation for the GPS Week Number Rollover. However, a select number of devices missed out on this maintenance release and have simply been told to purchase a new device.

You can verify your device's serial number here:

    Devices with no future update:
    • ONE XL
    • ONE 30 Series (UK/AU) / ONE 125/130 (US)
    • XL 30 Series (UK/AU) / XL 325 / 330 (US)
    • ONE 2nd Edition
    • ONE 3rd Edition

After 6 April 2019, your satnav will continue to navigate, but it will not show the correct time and the estimated time of arrival.

We understand that this is not ideal. We value you as a loyal customer and we would like to offer you up to a 30% discount on a new TomTom satnav.
Fortunately, some lovely people have made an SE (Special Edition) of the latest Navcore pushed out to certain NAV2 devices and modified them to work on 32MB devices.

This modded navcore comes with a 16MB swapfile and has been the most smoothest in terms of performance out the ones I've tried for the latest patch. It is a bit slow initially but improves in performance later on.

A DLC mirror has been attached as a backup (requires JDownloader).

Note that this navcore does not come with antitheft.bmp and splashw.bmp/splash.bmp so do keep a copy of this from another navcore, otherwise you will have no splash screens.

Downloaded from link and installed on TT One v3 2GB SDcard (formatted with FAT32) with a new version 1025 map.
    It is working very well.
    Thank You!

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear,

Aiken Drum has been on the TomTom site and believed TomTom.

A look around this site and others and he would know that 32 GB cards can be used if the bootloader is updated.

    Correct!
Virtually all larger capacity SD cards and microSD cards are now classified as SDHC and will not run in older devices without changing the system (bootloader) file.

This applies to all pre x20 models like the x00's, x10's (510/710), Ones & One XL's (that have not previously seen/booted from an SDHC card).

To check what bootloader you're currently using tap bottom/right of your screen then tap the "version" box where you will see the Boot number. If this is lower than 5.5120 then you need to change it. If you're already running an SE or other "special" navcore you've most likely got a suitable bootloader (5.5120 or higher) already so you can ignore these instructions.

The easiest way for you to change the bootloader is to copy/paste/overwrite the "system" file (extracted from the attached 5.5120 system file.rar) to your current standard SD card or internal memory and boot up once with that new system file then it will read your new SDHC card.

DO NOT just add this bootloader system file to your SDHC card and expect it to run. You MUST first load it to your original SD card or internal memory and start your device. THEN it can read SDHC's.

Thanks to both TomTom13E and biggerdave for providing the information and bootloader to update and bring back to life another TT One and setting me back on the right track!

    1. Installed the bootloader 5.5120 from the above post by biggerdave to the root (internal memory) of my TT One Second Edition (v4) Now my TT One will see bigger SD cards

    2. Formatted a 4GB micro SD card (with adapter) with FAT 32 file system

    3. Installed the new Navcore v9.541 SE provided by minetraps in 1st post of this thread. It is important to install the navcore to the SD card if you are using an SD card or the TT will not detect the SD card.

    4. Installed map United_States_1025_9436 to the SD card.

    5. Boot the TT to create the ttgo.bif file. Make sure the ttgo.bif file gets written to SD card or activation will not work. May need to copy the ttgo.bif file to the SD card from the computers root (internal memory), I had to do that .

    6. Connect TT to windows computer, I used the easyactivator6 program to activate the map, get from here -->[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
if you use the easyactivator6 program you will need to add your meta code to the Meta.txt file because easyactivator6 is old.
    7. This forum is always very helpful I really appreciate everyone here

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, doesn't seem to work on my One_XL ... stuck on the TomTom boot screen. I followed all the instructions above, I also had my TomTom running on 9.510 SE with no issues (just a little lag) ... would like to do this 9.541 SE upgrade to correct the GPS rollover clock issue ... any advice?
