    Question upgrading tomtom app directly?

I'm currently running tomtom 1.6 with latest maps (UK & ROI) - i was wondering on a couple of points...

    a) Can you directly update the iPhone TomTom app on the phone, or do you need to generate a whole new IPA (no Mopi tool available yet and all the others don't seem to include the speedcams etc)
    b) when i generated the IPA for 1.6 I set it to install the additional voices - but they don't exist in the app...any suggestions why that might be? everything else seems fine!

    Thanks in advance

Not know about new app directly

    Voice instruction: DCT generator 1.6
    • If you want to add voices, put them on the RES/app/voices folder. (not RES/voices folder)
    • Don't forget .dct because generator does'nt do that. (DeviceID = AAHBQB2XJE)

Version 1.6 and 1.7 maps share the same 865 series maps.
    Only software are different.

I tend to like setting up my own IPAs for Tomtom so i can take out what i don't need - plus i can put the latest maps in

I've just downloaded a UK & Ireland copy of 1.7, and injected the latest 870.x map in (can't remember the exact version but it has Speech, ASR, ALG and IQ Routes in it). did the usual - used Easy Tools to creat the dct for the map and for the speed cameras, no problem. installed them into the IPA and then installed that - but it fails, stating that the map cannot be used on this device

Anyone give me any pointers on this at all? are there specific models of map that work with the iPhone?

wel, with the Installous, about 4 times I downloaded the tomtom latest version, but, Installous, near the end stop and cancel the download by itself...

I did, like put no limit time on the Iphone, no limit time on the PC, and, someone said, in the net, to reinstall appsync but, I think from sinfull...I still have no clue..

    thanks for any suggestion
