Default Need help updating my tomtom

Hello, I own a tomtom via 125 that I want to install latest maps to. I thought i'd be a pretty straightforward procedure, however, turns out the device can't be seen in windows explorer - can't browse the internal memory, can't copy maps. Is there anything I can do make it show up as a removable drive, somehow? thanks

Are you sure? I haven't seen any "supported devices" topic/list so I just assumed it works on all of them, it's pretty old (4 years old), so if it's not cracked by now, it won't be. It's just that I can't get the device to show up under 'my computer', don't know if there's anything that can be done about that

Yes, totally sure these are currently (still) uncrackable!

Your device with NC greater 10 is "empty" for the maps from here (or other sources), because no file-access to the device. Only TomTom (MyDrive) can transfer maps.
The VIA has no lifetime-service -> only buy.
Please, no reply with full-quote, not even for stupid people, who have already forgotten the previous post.

I too have a newer Tomtom Via and am travelling around Europe (from Australia). I will have to compare buying map(s) against hiring a gps once I am there
