Exclamation XXL - 90 days past. Out of luck?

    Hello everybody!

I bought my wife a TomTom XXL about a year ago. Due to a variety of issues I'd missed to read the instructions about the lifetime map guarantee. When I hooked the XXL up a couple of days ago, I got the message that the 90 day period passed and that I am basically out of luck (unless I am not out of green). I read somewhere that there is a way around it, could somebody please help out?

    Thanks!

    Squawk

    info:
    maps USA_Canada_Mexico_P 860.3121 (please don't laugh!)
    Navigator 9.510

    Edit:
I tried changing my computer's date - no luck there (would have been too easy, I suppose)

Got it fixed. Thanks for your help. There was a little issue because old maps were backed up on my computer.(those had to be deleted). The only issue now is that the new maps are so big in size that CAN/US/MEX does not entirely fit on the device, and you'd have to select the parts that you need (no biggie for me). While talking to the very helpful reps (am in the US right now), I started eyeing the Go 6100 (drool, cry, sob).
