Default Need some help Updating 720

I apologize for the noob thread, years ago through this forum or another I had upgraded my Tomtom 720 with the Tomtom 9xx firmware and gained a truck load of really nice features. Since then though I've upgraded to android and use Google Maps for everything, but recently my step father uncovered my old Tomtom and started using it. He asked me if i could update it, and having forgotten everything I did way back then I did a factory reset, and now the maps in it won't work and i'm trying to get it going for him again, and i'm just completely lost. I'd like to get it loaded back up with the 9xx firmware and update the maps for him but I need a little help getting things off the ground. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You don't need to do that bit on you 720, just let TTHome incrementally update your navcore to the correct/current/best navcore 9.510 which FastActivate will easily patch.

PS If the password is missing from any download link (map/navcore/speedcams etc) either try an alternative download link or pm the originator.

OK, I got everything figured out, and I resurrected the Unit, it's running Navcore 9.510 w/USA_Canada_1GB_965_7280 maps but it's still missing Advanced Lane Guidance. Am I missing a setting somewhere? "Show Lane Guidance" is checked off in the status bar preferences, but my stepdad is complaining it's not working. Thanks

You need to find a map that does include ALG which that doesn't. see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and/or check out the latest v970 maps here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] BUT ensuring we do have a meta for the one you want/need
