Default no Navore install/updates on SDHC

I've used the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] trick to be able to use an SDHC which my TomTom One XL wasn't capable of before.

But what is the procedure once I've got a 4GB SDHC plugged in? The explorer only shows one device, either INTERNAL (1GB) or the SDHC (4GB).

When I try to install the application on the SDHC instead of the INTERNAL storage, it only gets the first version and no updates/reboot will come along. I am expecting v8.010 here and I am stuck to v6.594.

Am I missing something special to do when using an external card? When I first enabled the SDHC, I think I had the system working on INTERNAL and I could see the 4GB storage all free. However, I would have to remove the SDHC temporarily to run FastActivate on the INTERNAL storage, then on the SDHC containing the map? Now that I reinstalled everything I cannot even get to that point where I got both, the system + the SDHC working. Anyway, was this the optimal state to further proceed?

Just copy entire newer navcore from internal memory to SDHC.

PS If there is no newer (8xx - 9xx) map on SD card (suppose older 6xx persists), TTHome might not to upgrade older navcore - as there's no reason doing this.

That's correct for the ONEs and the X(X)L's, either intern or extern memory, not both like the x20/30/40/50-devices. The One-devices need the complete NC from intern memory also on the extern SDHC-Card and there too an unlocked map to work from extern memory.
Please, no reply with full-quote, not even for stupid people, who have already forgotten the previous post.
