OK, plenty of room for ANY map you want/need. Unfortunately the latest Middle East map we have a meta for is v945.6176 from [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] BUT you could always buy the latest & then create/share the meta with us or help out here:- [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

PS check storage space through windows via a usb lead rather that TTHome as I'm surprised if it has 4Gb and only a UK map. You can also use/see/check here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Excellent so I can install any maps.

In terms of Navcore with my understanding now this is the OS for the tomtom. Do we know if its possible to change the OS similar to ones that came on the newer tomtom like the one I have tomtom 600?

tomtom website shows device as: XXL Classic/XXL IQ Routes (TomTom HOME)

edit: is it possible to transfer iPhone favourites .cfg file into a proper tomtom?

9.510 is the correct/best/latest/recommended/ideal/right navcore/OS for you and that device (don't even think about changing it unless you need a Truck map which needs a different navcore)

What does you PC shows as capacity of this "removeable device"?

You can try to copy your mapsettings.cfg (IF that's what it's called on your iPhone) across to your new map folder
