Default Cannot connect 920 to PC

Just got a 920 and when I try to connect to PC (although power light shows) I get a driver error "USB Device Not Recognized"

I've tried in my Device Manager and it shows "Unknown Device" and then it shows "no driver files installed", sooooo, my question is how can I load a device driver to this?

Done all the usual stuff but with no luck so far.
ALL my other units/ports/USB's work fine.

PS device runs perfectly from internal but just isn't recognised on the PC (Windows XP)

Were you able to resolve this? How? I had many USB driver problems, requiring driver reinstall. Also with Garmin, that offers different USB drivers..

Nothing yet. I'm starting to think it must be the USB connector/pcb so will probably just send it back to my guy telling him to run it off an SD card instead.

Sorry, was not home for some time and somehow missed this thread before
Even on a 920, if the device otherwise works fine, the bootloader might be the key!
Use my resue BL, or the ones you already have in your collection to get the 5.5120 working on the 920 and try again to connect to the PC.
    If still no luck:
Open the thing, take it all apart and check the connector very closely, if you have with a cheap USB Mirkoscope or a good maginifying glass.
I'm almost certain you will find bend/lost spring connectors inside the connection system or broken solder connections.

Thanks d/u. Couldn't be arsed to strip/check/resolder for him so sent it back telling him to live with running it off the SD card so he's happy again now.

    Maybe close this now?
