    Default Problem with TomTom Home

    TomTom One v1
    Boot = 5.5130
    System = 8.417 (SE I think ?)
    Maps = UK 860.3101 - From UK 845.2667

    Installed new maps 860.3101 as they seemed to be most compatible (extra features etc) all appears working on the TomTom - found my Favorites were not present - copied over Mapsettings.cfg and got into the reboot problem - found a solution, connect to TomTom Homw and add a Favorite - downloaded new TomTom Home (2.8) - it connects to my TT but choosing 'operate my device' ends with a 'No Maps' message after going through setup. I did use Fastactivate for TTHome and says 'patched', I am assuming I am doing something wrong !

    I can't see the file that TTHome is meant to patch doing a search - thought it was a dll file, maybe I am not meant to see it. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Managed to convert my old Favorited file in TTHome , which is what I was trying to do.

    do you use ttgo.bif ttgo.ori ttgo.bak files ?
    look your tomtom root directory, and try to find these files.

    if you use these files for tomtom home error fix (wrong software installed) then "operate my device" not work

    if you use only ttgo.bif it should be works....

    Hi P33dro - OK ! I finally got it. I had not been able to understand how to patch the TTHome properly, what you pointed out has put me on the right track - the ttgo.bif has to contain the current application version number in order to download the correct file under TTHome - that all works now, THANKS VERY MUCH !

    Running 8.560_348422 - Maps 860.3101 and presuming I should be able to use the ALG etc now.

    On another note I am using Bootloader 5.5130, someone mentioned this may not be the best for a ONE v1 ? Any ideas

    Thanks again.

    Hi, if you have Bootloader 5.5130 don't use old versions ( for example 5,5012 5,5112 ). Because if you use it, there can be a problem between the USB and your PC.
    And to transfer maps or navcore will be very easy.

    I mentioned this
    Do not change bootloader if your device works right....bootloader need usualy change only slow transfer speed or large SD-Card

    your one is maybe slow better use 5.5128 if needed
    Download here 0.0001.rar & 5.51x.rar [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    You can downgrade bootloader:
    1. install bootloader 0.0001 (reboot device)
    2. install bootloader 5.5128

    P33dro - thanks again. I did not want to update the bootloaded for 'no' reason. It does seem to work fine and I don't think the USB is running slowly so I will leave it alone. I am going to put together a simple guide about the TTHome issue as I could not find one when I needed it. Thanks to people like you, it got sorted ! Thanks.
