Just connect the Nexus 7 to your PC via USB cable and your PC should recognise it and load the correct drivers. That should allow you to use the file explorer to copy files across. Another alternative is to use something like WiFi File Transfer Pro on your tablet which will allow you to transfer files using a web browser on your PC.

    Cheers, Ian

USB connection? or Upload to the cloud and download to your N7? Search on Internet...

One thing I should mention is this particular TT apk is not showing up as available on this device via the play store and yet it is supposed to work on the nexus 7 ? Anyone any ideas ?

Tomtom v1.4 will not run under marshmallow on a Nexus 7. I have both 1.4 and 1.9 running under Lollipop on my Nexus 7 with no probs.

Its easy enough to downgrade your Nexus, do a google search for Nexus Root Toolkit v2.1.4 by WugFresh Development and follow instructions. I am unsure if I am allowed to post links here
but I have downgraded mine with no problems. When you have it installed the version you need for your Nexus 7 (2013) is RAZOR-FLO: Android 5.1.1 - Build: LMY48T but don't forget to follow the instructions and unlock your bootloader first before flashing. The tool will do everything for you as long as you read first and follow instructions, I have done 7 or 8 of them.

Its the easiest from the point of view that the program will download all the relevant files for you as soon as you tell it what you want it do do. Hovering your cursor over any button tells you what the button does, the program runs on your pc, it will even download and configure the necessary adb drivers. If it's just rooting you want, without the downgrade, then chainfire's auto root is the easiest but if you want to run TT 1.4 then you will need to downgrade the Nexus firmware. For me it's always easier to have everything in one program.

Was going to use the chainfire auto root method just to root my nexus 7 ( 2013 ) unfortunately I cant find the correct download for my build in the N7 menu, it says " MMB29Q " the only options within the nexus 7 downloads are MMB29K also not sure if its RAZOR FLO or RAZORG DEB ? everything looks plain sailing from there but obviously want to make sure I download / install the correct version !
