You can download any map you want.

Then pick the one you want to use.

    G05tAHi

If I want Greece then I pick Greece.

Then if I want Benelux I just pick that one.

That goes for as many maps you have installed.

But only pick the ones you really need........

There is nothing hard about this.

Just take the time to read the manual......

    @chambers,

    I appreciate your feedback!
Whenever necessary, I read the manual and know how we can download maps we want. This is written in the manual.
However, I thought you could only download a map, excluding the existing one. Do you know why? Since when installed this app when I click "download a map" me the following message appears:
"Can not display maps. Check your internet connection and try again"
It should be noted that my phone is on and connected to the Internet. I wonder what's going wrong?
    Hugs,
    Wbjiu

After I download the map, it shows a message "50 miles" limit in the first screen. Does that means it is not activated? How do you check if it is fully activated?

Mmmm, I have installed 3 maps (Europe, Africa, USA).
On version 1.9 and on the previous version 1.8 as well. Changeable at any time.
The limitation is the available storage space.

Why do you need all 3 areas??
It takes up so much space.

I do a lot of traveling but only put what I need on.

Do you need all of Europe?
The same for USA and Africa.......

I never understand the need to add so many large maps on a phone or tablet.

    Lets take Europe:

    You have the:
    German region
    France
    Iberia
    Italy
    Scandinavia region
    UK
    Greece
    Benelux

Picking only the areas you are going to travel to makes the amount of space much smaller.

The same goes for Africa and the USA.

No need to take all of 3 countries full maps.

Just remember when the next map updates come you will need to update all 3 areas.
    Waste of time and space......;

Take a look at what I posted.

    It is step by step.

Read it 2 times before you start.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

It works with no problems at all.
But only if you do it correctly....................

    I just travel a lot.
Working area is Europe / Africa / Middle-East / USA.
Last week US, currently Africa (although in a non-supported country), next week I might be in Europe. Or not. All depends on where my boss wants me to go.
In fact I am one map short, could use the Middle-East, but TomTom hasn't listed it for the Android.

Reason for a large map instead of smaller separate maps, it's more convenient when driving from 1 country to another. i.e. Few weeks back I had to drive from the south of France to northern Spain, it saves the map change.
I'm not worried about memory space. Still got enough.
