When you have favorites places they saved in /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/files/files/personal/pois/
Before change Go version, must copy all files you found there in other directory and after you install the new Go, copy again in the same directory you see above

sorry, I am a bit new to this.
How can I copy a map that I downloaded on another device to my phone, and tell tomtom on my phone that the map is there ?

Can we modify content.db with the tools you posted on the other thread (1.8)?

To import an old content.db you need to change the password for DeltaFoX:
    Code:

And to tell that a new map is included, I have to use the other syntax, right?

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links

    Then I guess that:
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links

My question is: why 2 calls? one to entitlements and the other one to maps ?

ANswer myself: because entitlement tells the program what it is:
    0 -- license
    1 -- installted content
    2 -- marked for install

and the second character is the type
    1 Free license
    2 Premium
    3 Map content
    4 tts voice
    ...
    ...
That's why the entitlement for Virgine is (folder where voice is, 1,4)

    great !!!

    weel

About backup of maps downloaded, think I have one possible solution, tested and worked with my phone 2 times.
Had to made this for upgrading Android in my phone.

    To Backup
1- install original and / or patched apk and download all maps you want; make it work the way you want (setup in GO)
2- STOP GO app in Android control panel and copy folder "com.tomtom.gplay.navapp" in "Android/data/" to a safe place
3- with Titanium Backup, make a backup of app GO, save this backup: it will work only for the maps you downloaded and made copy in item 2

To Restore (with the previous steps done)
4- IF NEED: delete app GO in Android Apps setup / control panel panel, cleaning everything you can
5- Restore GO with Titanium Backup (will install program (apk) and data in folder "data/data/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp")
    6- Run app GO
7- DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING AND EXIT GO
8- STOP PROGRAM GO IN ANDROID CONTROL PANEL AND DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING
9- Delete folder "com.tomtom.gplay.navapp" in "Android/data/" and REPLACE with the same folder you made backup in item 2
10- Run GO restored with the same maps you made backup

Tested with MB526 with Android 4.1.2 (CM 10) and GO 1.7.

    Thanks.

I update from 1.8.0 and for now I don't feel any special vibrations with this version... Seems the same, with the same lags when search any direction...

No lag at all, use a fast CPU in a good Android phone.
    Changes 1.8.1 (from TT developers)

    WHAT’S NEW?

    · Bug fix to ensure winding routes as a road type is available to users
    · Bug fix to allow current position to be estimated using Low accuracy positioning data, WIFI / Cell Tower
