Yes thank you, I did see that and I did note the additions.
Although that screenshot is the overview of the route and not the driving screen.
I will give a try, but there seems to be an issue with maps.

Are you saying that traffic information and speed cameras comes cracked with this version without having to pay for them?
Because that is very unusual to be able to bypass the licences needed for those.

How is the 1.8.1 or 1.8.2 different?
Trip planning and driving screen (I'm not moving right now) with traffic info (red).
To get traffic info and radar cameras you must be online.

    Works
But to avoid Internet error, you need install oficial version in Google market, run the apk and then unnistall and install this patched version.

    Default KitKat Issue?

Official TT v1.8.1 / 1.8.2 versions as installed from PlayStore work perfectly on the NotePro, however, both equivalent DeltaFox versions crash immediately when run. Looks like there is a bug here somewhere, possibly due to the fact that the NotePro WiFi does not have a SIM card?

Any chance of a fix for this?

Note that I am considering an upgrade to Lollipop 5.0.1 on this tablet, so I will report back as to whether, or not, this fixes the DeltaFox TT load issue (although I doubt that it will have any bearing given that the official TT version runs OK).
I've managed to get round this issue by upgrading my NotePro from stock KK 4.4.2 to CM 12.1 (Lollipop 5.1.1). So DF crack must use some code that is incompatible with KK 4.4.2 on this device.

Well, oddly enough, I am not sure you even have to install the free official one first, you just have to try to.

    Let me explain ....

A month or so ago I obtained version 1.8 (1172) from this site. I had version 1.4 already on my Samsung S2 phone.
I deleted the 1.4 and installed the 1.8 (1172) and it didn't work. I got the message 'cannot connect to internet', which I believe is a default error message when things aren't just right.
So I gave up on TomTom GO, but the .apk file for the 1.8 (1172) was still on my external SD card.

I downloaded the 1.8.1 from page one of this thread a few days ago and never tried it until your post.
So I tried doing what you said. I tried to download the official free version, however after starting to load it came up with message 'not enough storage space on the device'.
So I freed some up ... plenty in fact.

i then tried to install the free version again, but this time it came up with 'unable to load error (920)' or some number like that.
So I thought, i have had it now it won't load and so I can't follow your procedure.

Then I thought I would try to load the 1.8 (1172) .apk which was still on my phone and had failed me the first time. I tried it and guess what it worked.
So then I thought I would try to replace it with the 1.8.1 from this thread (the cracked version) thinking that this would be better.
The 1.8.1 .apk would not overwrite the 1.8 (1172) .apk, so I deleted the 1.8 (1172) version and replaced it with the 1.8.1 version. It didn't work. I got the 'cannot connect to internet' message again.
So I had gone from a working one to spoiling it with one that didn't work, at least not as I installed it.
So once again I thought drat, why couldn't I leave well alone?

Then I thought I would delete it all and try again using your method.
The free version started loading and once again came up with 'not enough memory on device'.
To which I thought,' nonsense there is!'
So undeterred I thought I would load one of the .apks again. Oddly enough I chose the one I used before the 1.8 (1172) .apk. I wish that I had chosen the 1.8.1.apk now to see if it worked. Anyway the 1.8 (1172) worked again ... but note only after trying to load the free TomTom GO again.
So that was two times I had done this. Loading the .apk alone did not work, only after attempting to load the free version and then loading the .apk did it work.

So perhaps you don't have to load the free version and then delete it. You only have to try to load and then install the .apk.
It's worked for me twice ... and no internet problems.

This is mine note the version and licence expiry date, only a day different to the 1.8.1

So I will probably stop with this version.

With the free version, you only get 50 free miles a month.

i have reports from many friends that after 2-3 weeks of use experience the lockdown of the apk.

One friend experienced a very strange message: red screen and "your system date is wrong! are you living in the past?".
of course the system date was correct.

another friend experienced the app was no longer downloading the traffic info.

and another one experienced the freeze of the app while opening.

In common with these cases is android version 5 or more recent.

    any reason for that?

the result is that some people are coming back to the tradiotional tomtom.
    at least it always works.

Well that's the test isn't it whether you get unlimited miles for the next potentially 34 years?
I have just installed it. If I get more than 50 miles per month I will be happy!
I will report back if it fails me.

It is certainly slicker and glossier and more modern looking than my previous version.
