    Hello,

I installed Tomtom Go 1.8 on two smartphones, I would copy one of my favorites on the other.
I tried to copy Locations.sqlite, but it does not.
    My devices are not Rooted.
    Is it possible ?
    Thank you.

Is there a way to update from previous 1.8 without having to download every map and changing the settings again?

I installed it and when I started it up I got a start screen and a message underneath telling me "The app cannot connect to TOMTOM. Check your phone's internet connection".
But the internet connection is ON.

    More impressions:

Very stable - not a single crash
Nice night theme - easy on the eyes
Routing is logical, good, no issues here
No annoying "after 200m continue straight on" on EVERY junction like in Sygic
Browsing map could be smoother/faster (better than Navigon, but way behind Sygic)
No 3D objects while browsing map (only in driving mode)
No option to download single countries (as in Navigon and Sygic)
Lack of options on speeding (in Navigon I have set alert on +12km in Urban, and disabled it for highways)
Some speed limits are wrong in fairly large streets

POI database is quite poor, if TomTom would bring back Foursquare integration (that worked flawlessly in their different app TomTom (without GO)) it would be a decent replacement for Sygic/Navigon - until then, I see no reason to use this over Sygic/Navigon.

    Cheers,

Please help. I cannot get the app to use the gps. V1.7 works fine, but V1.8 refuses to use the gps.

I can even activate the gps from another app before launching V1.8, but it does not use the gps.

I'm using a Galaxy Note 3, stock routed

    Cheers,
    Agree Milosgbg

Very complicated search, very different from all nav apps I tested. They made it look nice but not logic ( try to find a poi in special catagory in another place. ) ( - )
    Search results half visible ( - )
I still like entering City > street name > housenumber.
Not logic to find alternativ routes ( - )
    And yes, poor POI's database ( - )
    No POI,s on map ? (-)
    Till now it's stable + latest maps ( + )

I keep it with CoPilot 9.6.2.957 for now, the most stable nav app I tested so far.
    Very good GPS handling.
    Very fast recalculation.
    Easy and logic.
Find alternativ routes, POI's on route, in another place, another catagory all to reach in one screen.
Only thing, maps ( Here / Navteq ) are less up to date ( once a year ) .
Maps are a bit basic ( no realistc 3D buildings so far ) maybe that's why it's so fast ? But GPS handling is very accurate, never had jumping GPS position like Sygic.
Not too many talking ( like Sygic ) on route and beautiful clear Junction Views.

Very easy to import your own POIs, Just download on of the thousands .Ov2 ( TomTom ) POI's , copy to the "save " folder, start CoPilot follow the wizard, choose a catagory or make one yourself and import starts.

After making a Premium Licence automatic updates without problems.
