Thank you, I finally got it to work. It was my mistake (I WAS RENAMING FOLDER TO MY CUSTOM NAMES) It took me an hour to figure it out. Message of the day for me. DO NOT RENAME FOLDER, keep it like that SYGIC and that is it. It works now. Thank you. I managed to fix iGO and NAVIGON .8 version is not crk yet.

    That's good to hear.
Always just copy the files to the root of your device exactly as uploaded by Brown Dog.

Fresh install (just apk) on a cheap Android device (5.1.1) - works very very well!
Is there a hack to use HUD? the other option being, of course, to buy it

Note: Tried what I could, but the maps will NOT work if on SD - is there a way around?

    Cheers and thanks in advance!

As far as I know this will only work on a rooted device.
Since 4.4 the "WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" permission no longer grants WRITE access to the secondary(external) sdcard. This is a simplified explanation, 4.4 did not force this change.

The necessary permission for ("WRITE_MEDIA_STORAGE") is only available to system apps.
Since 5.0 it is possible to gain write access through Androids storage provider system, this must be implemented by the developer though.

The native file manager app should be able to write to the external sdcard, check if it requests the "WRITE_MEDIA_STORAGE" permission.

Also read this to get an idea of the permission changes:

    Tried to anstall 15.5.2.
Deleted everything of Sygic ( all on internal sd )
Copied comlete folder Sygic ( incl maps, wcl etc 8-09-2015, version root folder 208 ) to internal SD as I Always do with all versions.
    Installed Sygic_15.5.2_crk.apk
It starts installing but stops > message : app not installed.
    Same problem as version 15.5.1
Brown Dog wrote for now it's only in English, maybe cannot install on Dutch devices ?

Installed 15.4.10 over root folder version 208 and this APK installed perfect, don't know if it works well but I will try.

Works fine here on Dutch Samsung Galaxy S3. Menu and settings are in Dutch as well.

Works very well on a Dutch language Samsung Galaxy S6 with Tomtom maps. Reboot after deleting all of old Sygic, empty cache portions as well. Use full battery. Wipe/clean RAM. If there's a leftover stub maybe that's the reason Sygic won't install. Good luck!
