Yes, I am back to 14.3.4. As usual. And I have added something to my phone which makes sygic work even better. I installed this little app called Send to navigation....since not all places, addresses, poi etc are in sygic...I open google maps...look for whatever I want without errors...and press on "share"..there I choose "send to navigation" and in the pop up I choose sygic...done! it opens sygic, puts the road in sygic and ready to go, you can also save it as favourite.
Try it out, you will like it, I guess.

    Hi Rider,

I have used a lot of navigation systems in the past and present. The issues you are having do I see as well on other systems and is just a hickup in the GPS signal. The navigation software needs to filter these out, but it depends on the calculation inside the software if this is happening fast or slow. Navigon has it worse, often I am driving on the wrong side of the highway, Tomtom is best in this but it happens to. iGO had the same as Sygic.

The most annoying part of Sygic is the crash every use of it. I had never a drive were Sygic works from start to destination. OK I am using it for long and/or complicated journeys but IMHO a navigation should do what it supposes to do. At least this one is better up-to-date then the build in navigation in my car. VW hasn't release any update for one and a half year now so that one is just for guidance and not more.

    The bottom line is:

You are better off to use a standalone GPS Unit.
I have never had any problems with my Garmin for over 4 years now.
I get lifetime maps every 3 months or so.
It always gets to to where I want to go every time with crashing. Or doing a dance at a traffic light.
    Or jumping roads.
Junction view clear and shows you what the exit looks like with the over head signs.
    Lane assist works 100%
And has traffic built into the Power cable.
They might cost 150 euros but you know it will work out of the box first time every time.

Using phones to do your traveling will always have problems of one kind or another.
A phone is a phone first of all.

Now with Android 6 getting ready to come out there will be even more problems with Sygic.

If you go by what Sygic tells you to do each time you have problems you would go mad.

They always tell you to uninstall everything and start over and over again.
Re-download your maps over and over again.

I will stick with my stand alone GPS unit.
I only use Sygic for a short trip or maybe 20 mins or so. But never know when it will screw up.

    Rinaldootje & chambers,

Chambers, you have a point, a stand alone device is Always better of course.
But when I use Navigon I never had any strange problems.
About Sygic crashing during a long, complicated trip, I never had that problem.
Jumping to another road is annoying, if they can solve this I'm happy with it so far.

I use a ASUS MeMO Pad 7 ME176C, Android 5.0, so no internet connection during navigation.

I also find it more reliable on my ASUS MeMO Pad 7 as to my Ace phone.
I connect my phone to Bluetooth for hand free while driving.
In that I think some of the problems are.
You are asking a phone to run GPS, Bluetooth at the same time.
Then there are those who have Data connection running.
So they can get their emails and what ever while there are driving.
Add all these things together then add to what version of Android you are running, plus what brand of phone you are using and the problems only get bigger and bigger.

As it stands now at the Google store there are 61,000 users that are not happy.
And these are the ones that take the time to report what they think about the product.
That is about 10% of their user base.
That in itself is not good by any standard for a company.

But I am glad it works for you on long trips using a tablet.

    "Rinaldootje",

That is the least of their problems for VW right now.
They are between a rock and a hard place with the world wide problems they have made for themselves.

I am using a HTC M8 with customROM. Bluetooth connected for phone calls (in my country is a huge penalty for having just a phone in your hands while driving, yes and I do agree with that!) Data connected for having the traffic data from Sygic... And I hate to receive phone calls when I am driving, but with a close family very sick I want to receive that urgent phone call when the bad news happen. Anything else is not important and will get my voice mail. Emails and all other social stuff (yek) will be read at my destination or even later.

Different department There should have been already an update for my navigation a half year ago, but they withdraw that one. They made a move from NavTec to Teleatlas maps, but apparently that didn't work and they didn't release that update.

I do own a TomTom Go-710 (oldie). But I don't want to carry that all with me. By the way, that oldie isn't that reliable. To me, there is not any full reliable GPS system at all. We have to deal with all the issues all the different navigation systems has. And Navigon made me sick with its continues turning maps.

Could be the problem ... Internet, Live traffic, bluetotth. Could be too much data together.

Living on the edge, with custom roms I had some spare units when driving long distances in Europe. My first item is a Tomtom GO 600 with Lifetime Maps, 2nd and 3rd are Tomtom GO930 and my new Galaxy S6 with Sygic.
I use RDS/TMC too and is very usefull to avoid roadblocks, congestions, accidents and I'd like the Sygic soft it's very fast on my S6 and uses the hi resolution of the S6 screen!
