But at times when gps is unavailable due to bad whether or any other cause, a necessity arises to switch 3g/2g data. Then what is the solution in that case pal?

I think you can answer this.....

    It is a patched version.

You access the internet and it will change setting on your app and it will work for 7 days as full access.

I have never had any problems in bad weather and a GPS signal.

More so in big cities where there are tall buildings and overhead trolly cables.

But I always get to where I need to be with the GPS signal.

The only other thing you can do is to pay for it and you can use it the way you want.

And do you think a GPS navigation app will work with only a data connection?

But if you are paranoid that you think you may leave data or wi-fi on by accident when starting Sygic (it only takes a few seconds to 'break' the app and re-write a file or two), you can use the attached.
Go into your Android folder under the main Sygic folder and back up settings.ini and software.ini to somewhere safe (or rename them), then replace them with the attached unzipped. Both block the Sygic servers (as of now..no guarantee for future versions, but the servers have not changed in many version revisions) from being accessed.

EDIT: Just checked again and something has changed...this little trick no longer works. It did a week or so ago.
Oh well. So to be safe, ALWAYS turn off data and wi-fi before starting Sygic.

All the same. I uninstalled Sygic, deleted Sygic folder, deleted cache, Dalvik cache, copied clean Sygic folder on SD card, copied TA Europe maps 2015.06.
So Junction View on your device working or not?

Maybe the car has a coated front glass, normally modern phones has very sensitive GPS receivers. What's the brand and model?

Map(2015.06) presentation is horrible in the 15.4.x versions. First, what is this "green hue" covering the ENTIRE land portions of the maps? Can't tell a park area(green) from the building/housing area(was brownish). Highlighted names of special areas/buildings(blue/green) changed to "barely" readable black/white font.. why? Even the nice "contrast" of the buildings has given way to a more "flat grey"...uugh! The visual appeal (in my opinion is Sygics claim to fame) is lost! Seriously, what were they thinking?

Just for comparison, I ran the older 2015.03 map in 15.4.x and STILL the same issues as above. 15.3.x had none of those issues. So it's not the maps themselves, but the software version and how it renders maps.

BTW: @Mike Hunt... the fluke with the TTS voices when we had to use the Sygic "system" country/language with android TTS(I use Vocalizer) actually corrected the problem I was having with mispronounced street names/numbers... they're announced PERFECTLY! now. Bye-bye Sygic's Loquedo TTS.

Mine is a galaxy s4 mate. I have heard people say that it is difficult to get gps sync during driving in hill stations and at times of bad whether but rarely. I am just asking about those situations.

So even if the app is broken by the server, wont a clean install bring it back?
