These are all beta versions last full release was Sygic 15.3.10 on the Google page.

With them changing the map format I think they will shot themselves in the foot with it.

Why would you want to change the map?
That is not the problem with Sygic.
They need to fix what is wrong with it and leave the maps alone.
No other company I know screws with the maps.

I have 6 year old Garmin GPS units and can still use the maps they put out.
The same with TomTom GPS units.

Why o why do they need to go down this road.
Leave the maps they way they were.

It is like taking your car in for a tuneup and they tell you the tires need to be replaced so the engine will run better.

It sure has way more bugs than it used to be. Since sygic 12.x.x the more frequent the updates were, the more buggier sygic became, not to mention this not very handy new interface since 14.x.x(?).

Been using 14.3.4 forever...but I decided once again to give new sygic a try. Installed it completely fine. Well....not friendly user again, looking for a POI 2 times makes software freeze. Phone gets idiot and again, simplest way is to look for a city to a city...forget about searching for specific POI....no way. Out. Kaput. Who cares for a better map if software is unusable?
Back to my beloved 14.3.4 never fails.

Is it possible to make a city default in sygic?. For example if I want to navigate to a particular area the default city should be auto selected and I can directly select the area.
But it is very painful to select the city each and every time before navigating to the address. Please tell me how to do this. I want to select bangalore as default city.

Leave the maps they way they were.

It's actually not that unusual nor unexpected.
Igo/NNG did it years ago leaving everyone with versions prior to 8.3 abandoned.
TomTom does it all the time...ask WinCE users what they are stuck with.
I'm sure there must be other examples.
Time marches on...things change. If a person is resistant to changing for whatever reason, then they are left with only older options. That's just the way it goes.

you can set some addresses as favorites, or home, or workplace etc..., but thanks to the stupid user interface it isn't just as simple and axiomatic as it should be

I was talking about stand alone GPS units.

Garmin would be crazy to change their format. There are to many 3d party maps out there for them to go down that road.
The same with stand alone TomTom GPS units.

What more can these maps give to the app?
I have compared to older versions of tomtom maps for sygic to these.
I see nothing that would help the user out.

It is the app that needs to be fixed once and for all.
It is over a year now and still no real stable version.

They have come up with 56 versions of this new UI as of today and still they can not get it straight.
For every fix they have come up with it has produced more problems.

And Now they screw with the maps.
I have looked at and tested many android gps apps.

You have to ask yourself how many times has TomTom, NAVIGON come up with version changes.

Sygic needs to stabilize itself again.
Fix the problems and be done with it.

I have many stand alone GPS units and they are all compatible with the maps that are put out.

Try taking Sygic on a 6 hour trip.
    I ran it against a Garmin 2595LMT.

It failed 7 times ran the phone so hot and never found the location I was driving to.
Plus told me many time I have reached my detestation.
The wife had to reboot the phone each time.
If I was driving by myself with just this app I would of been screwed.

You can not rely on this app.

So much for "Time marches on...things change. If a person is resistant to changing for whatever reason, then they are left with only older options. That's just the way it goes."

To BrownDog. I have tested v 15.4.4 with HERE Europe 2015.06 and TomTom Europe 2015.06. On both maps same problem - did not show lane assist and junction view.
So I assume that is something wrong in app. What is your opinion.
    Thanks for answer in advance

Then you are comparing apples to oranges.
I, personally, have no problems with Sygic or Co-Pilot...(and have had with many other Android navigation apps)..they both never fail to get me where I want to go...but my needs/wants are probably more simple than others. I want to get from Point A to Point B with as little hassle as possible and I really don't care what is along the way except for speedcams and other road information. What may be important to me is irrelevant to you and vice-versa. I have never 'searched' for a POI and probably never will. My phone never overheats and neither app has ever crashed. Sometimes it takes a while to get a satellite lock, but that is my only complaint.
Obviously you are not happy with Sygic or the direction they are going, so maybe you should find something that fills your needs better.
I think this forum is more about helping people find solutions, not about complaining...that's what a manufacturers' site is for.

    @Chambers

Tomtom changes too. In 2001 they no longer supports FAT32 and has different layout and colours of the maps. That was for their PND devices.
TT for Android changed too, newer devices with high res screens no longer can use the old version.
Latest TT for Android has the same map style like the newer PND devices with navcore 10 and higher.

    @Mike Hunt

I like a file warning system and finds a non blocking road on the fly!
