I want to explain better, in my installation on Android when I save the video generated by dashcam (blackbox) the saved file is just a minute and is always the first minute of the five minutes that should save.

    Any idea ?
The dashcam on Sygic is a joke.
It works bad and putting your phone in the sun all day long is not good for it.

Get a real dashcam with gps built in. That is what I have on the front screen and back screen.
They are cheap enough and much better quality and you can set it up the way you want.
    Plus they always work.

Can not say that for Sygic.

Plus you need a 32gb sd card to cover the recordings.
    Your running GPS
You have Bluetooth on for hands free.
You are asking your phone to do to many things
Then get a phone call on top of that.
Then your GPS tells to to Exit.

    It will never work correctly.

A waste of resources of the phone. Sygic should improve his software instead to add useless features. Why should i record my trip? I could use my onboard phone camera.

It should be activated only in the event of a car accident or other event .......
Tests with DashCam (BlackBox), Sygic were made on Skoda cars.

" Dashboard camera technology is one of the most dependable aids available in delivering vehicular
accident evidence, and Sygic has now equipped Android users with the most intelligent technology
of its kind. Among the greatest breakthroughs of the new Sygic GPS Navigation app – the only
navigation app on the market with a BlackBox – is the auto-save function for its built in BlackBox
feature. While users have always been able to easily save video recordings with a simple screen tap,
the Sygic GPS Navigation app can now automatically detect vehicular crashes and other incidents
and will automatically save five-minute recordings to the driver’s photo gallery.
BlackBox has been lauded as an invaluable resource since its release in July, and the new auto-save
function is anticipated to maximize driver safety and peace of mind in case of the unthinkable.
Blackbox’s straightforward interface and forward-thinking technology allow for effortless activation
and seamless auto-save video recording, as demonstrated in Sygic’s recent crash test with
Volkswagen AG brand ŠKODA Auto a.s.. The test, conducted at ŠKODA’s headquarters research
facility in Czech Republic, demonstrated BlackBox’s consistent on-point results as part of Sygic’s 10-
    year tradition of excellence "

So DashCam will work using Accelerometer sensors, present in to some Android devices.

On my S5 (G900F), this version 15.2.5 is working fine with the latest maps 2015.03 of TomTom, but the same issue persist from version 15.0.9 the TTS not announce the string "OnCity" from info2.ini

In fact is OK GG @BrownDog

First of all you need to calibrated the event detection sensor correctly.

    Sygic does not have that.

Reason for calibrated the event detection sensor correctly is that if you go over a speed bump it will go off.
If you take off to fast or break to hard it will go off.

I have my dashcams event detection sensor correctly.

Plus it is recording all the time in 3min section.
That can be changed to any time you want.
That covers any crazy person that cuts me off.
    It is recorded that.
Then it has a snap picture function it I need to take a picture.
A parking mode it someone hits me while I have the car parked.
    And the crash detection function.

These are all things you need to keep in mind when it comes to dashcams.

I paid 80 euro for that one.

Sygic's dashcam is a toy that you can not rely on.

To trust anything that they say about their GPS app I take with much skepticism.

    From their website:

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links

With a real dashcam you do not have to do anything.
It starts when you turn your car on.
Save automatically in 3min sections or longer.
Turn the car off and it goes off.
Unless you put it in park mode.
