    That is correct.
    You are supposed to download the content.info.tar via the menus in the script.
    I cannot guarantee any other way.

    Just uploaded version 0.88b of the Linux MapDownloader for Sygic.

    What's new?

    1. Improved logging

    - It is now possible to start several instances of the script simultaneously.
    To avoid calculation errors, calculations are recorded in separate loggings with timestamp on the second.
    Calculation sessions are written to /tmp/mcount-date-time.log and /tmp/vcount-date-time.log, and
    automatically removed after the job is done.
    - Downloadlogging is written to console AND to file in /tmp/sygic-log.log so you are able inspect the actions afterwards
    (you need to have installed the program "tee" for this on your computer).
    N.B. Heavy users should not forget to rotate the logfile. The file /tmp/sygic-log.log will be vanished after a reboot.
    If you don't want that, then change the path to $LOG to log to a file somewhere else.

    2. Menu

    - Download of content.info is now separate from Basemaps

    3. Updated README

    Download version 0.88b

    Mmm that is really funny. Look what I got while testing:

    SYGIC MAP DOWNLOADER - Tele Atlas ta.2014.09

    To make your maps working, you need basemaps.
    If you haven't got any, you can download them here.

    Unpack the content.info.tar and use the one that
    corresponds with the chosen maptype.

    Download basemaps (Y)

    Download content.info (C)

    it's strange, perhaps only the owner of account can directly dowload it. I don't know, but in italy everything is possible.

    Please glue this [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] at line 1806 instead of the Gavitex URL.
    Then report back.

    Did you manage to unpack the content.info.tar from Zippyshare with the tar program on Linux?
    When I try, I get this result:

    $ tar xvf content.info.tar
    tar: This does not look like a tar archive
    tar: Skipping to next header
    tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors

    I also notice there is a difference in size between the uploaded and the downloaded file:

    Original uploaded file and size:
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 kees users 10240 May 2 23:51 content.info.tar

    The downloaded fileSIZE is 26603!
    $ ls -al | grep content.info.tar
    -rw-r--r-- 1 kees users 26603 May 3 14:29 content.info.tar
    When this file is unpacked with winrar on Windows: no problem, it opens.

    When doing the same thing with the Gavitex service, I get a normal download, which can be unpacked by "tar".

    $ wget [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    2015-05-03 14:35:42 (251 KB/s) - 'content.info.tar' saved [10240/10240]

    $ ls -al | grep content.info.tar
    -rw-r--r-- 1 kees users 10240 May 2 23:51 content.info.tar

    $ tar xvf content.info.tar
    content.info/
    content.info/HERE-2014.09/
    content.info/HERE-2014.09/content.info
    content.info/TomTom-2014.09/
    content.info/TomTom-2014.09/content.info

    This is quite silly. :-)
    It looks like some Upload providers "DO" something with the files while downloading.
